The active ingredient in Baquacil Sanitizer and Algistat is so gentle, it’s actually used in some contact lens cleaning solutions.
Baquacil’s Chemical Structures makes it extremely stable. So, unlike halogen sanitizers like chlorine and bromine, Baquacil Sanitizer and Algistat is not affected by Sunlight, Temperature, and pH fluctuations.

Then, in 1977, a method for using biguanide to control bacteria and algae in pool water was patented, and companies began using it to manufacture pool chemicals.
